Collection of Useful Telegram Bots for Open Source Intelligence Work

Hey everyone! I’m putting together a resource list of Telegram bots that can help with OSINT investigations. Looking for recommendations from the community on which bots you find most helpful in your research work.

I want to focus on tools that follow good practices and avoid anything sketchy or harmful. Here are some bots I’ve been testing:

Intelligence Digest - Weekly updates on OSINT tools and case studies from around the world. They filter content well and avoid spam.

Britain Intel - Focuses on UK-related intelligence news and methods. Updates aren’t super frequent but the info is solid when they post.

ContactFinderBot - Does phone number lookups and returns names, locations, emails and other data. Face search costs about $1 for 10 results which beats paying $19 elsewhere. Phone searches run around 50 cents each.

TelegramExplorer - Works like a search engine for finding Telegram channels. Pretty basic but gets the job done.

DataLeakBot - Searches through breach databases. This one’s in a gray area ethically but it’s accessible and cheap to use. Gets shut down regularly so there are lots of copies floating around.

IntelligenceNews - News feed for OSINT people, journalists and researchers covering current events and intelligence topics.

ProfileHunter - Checks if usernames exist across different social platforms. It’s slow but free and works when you need it.

What other bots have you found useful? Drop your suggestions below and I’ll compile everything into one master list.

I’ve been using OSINTgramBot for reverse image searches and it’s pretty reliable for tracking photo sources across platforms. Results are usually solid and it handles most image formats fine. GeoLocationBot is also great - pulls metadata from images and identifies locations using visual landmarks. Accuracy depends on image quality but it’s saved me tons of time on investigations. Keep backup options though - these bots get taken down all the time. I keep a spreadsheet with working alternatives for each tool. Fair warning: some data lookup bots exist in legal gray areas depending where you are, so check your local laws before using them professionally.

I’ve been using OSINTgramBot for six months and it’s become essential. It pulls data from social media profiles, domain info, and IP lookups all in one place. The search results are thorough and I don’t have to constantly jump between different tools.

ChannelScanner is another solid pick - it watches specific Telegram channels for keywords and sends alerts. Super helpful for tracking developing situations or monitoring topics across multiple channels. The filtering works pretty well, though it’s not perfect.

GeoTracker is worth mentioning too. It pulls location metadata from images and cross-checks with mapping services. Great for verification when you’re dealing with user-generated content. Accuracy depends on the source but it’s reliable enough for initial checks.

Just heads up - these bots go offline a lot due to API changes or legal issues, so keep backup alternatives ready. Always verify through multiple sources since bot results can be outdated or incomplete.

these bots get banned fast, so dont get too attached. be careful with dataleakbot - ive seen folks getting in trouble for using breach data, even for research. if ur just starting, maybe stick with the news bots. they seem safer.
