I’m in a pickle trying to find the right CRM for our travel company. We’re moving away from Zendesk Support and need something that can handle our B2C sales process without breaking the bank.
We’ve looked at Zoho, but it wasn’t a good fit. Now we’re eyeing Hubspot Sales Hub Starter and Pipedrive. Our needs are pretty basic - lead management, task tracking, and sales monitoring. We don’t need fancy marketing tools or complex operations stuff.
I’m worried about Hubspot’s reputation for getting pricey fast. Is this mainly for their marketing features, or should I expect the same with Sales Hub?
Our team is small - just 3 seats needed. We’re after something that can help with admin tasks, documentation, and keeping client info organized. No AI features, please!
Anyone have experience with either Hubspot Sales Hub Starter or Pipedrive for a small B2C setup? How do they compare in terms of features and long-term costs?
I’ve been using Pipedrive for my small consulting business for about 2 years now, and it’s been a solid choice. The interface is straightforward, which made onboarding quick for my team. We mainly use it for lead tracking and task management, which sounds similar to your needs.
Cost-wise, it’s been pretty stable. We haven’t encountered any surprise price hikes, and the features we need are all included in the basic plan. One thing I particularly like is how customizable the pipeline stages are - it was easy to tailor them to our specific sales process.
That said, I’ve heard mixed things about Hubspot’s pricing structure. A colleague who uses it mentioned that while the initial cost was reasonable, they found themselves needing to upgrade for certain features, which increased their overall spend.
For a team of 3 focusing on B2C sales without needing complex marketing tools, Pipedrive might be the more straightforward and budget-friendly option. Just my experience, though - always worth doing a trial of both if you can.
hey alexr1990, i tried hubspot and pipedrive, and for a small team, pipedrive felt easier and more cost frendly. hubspot packs extra bells that can spike costs. jus my 2 cents!
Having experimented with both Hubspot Sales Hub Starter and Pipedrive, I can say that for a small B2C setup, Pipedrive tends to be more straightforward. Its focus on core sales functions makes it easier for small teams to handle lead management, task tracking, and sales monitoring without the complexity of extra features. While Hubspot offers robust capabilities, the potential for escalating costs as you scale is a real concern. In my experience, Pipedrive has a more predictable pricing model, making it a reliable option for managing daily sales administration efficiently.
