Created an AI assistant to handle my WhatsApp messages and sync with Google Calendar

Hey everyone! I’m super excited to share a cool project I’ve been working on. You know how it gets when you’re swamped with messages and reminders all day long, right?

I made this neat little AI helper that I call my digital buddy. It’s pretty awesome! Here’s what it does:

  1. I forward important WhatsApp messages to it
  2. It uses some fancy AI stuff to figure out what’s important
  3. Then it adds events or reminders to my Google Calendar

It’s been a real game-changer for me. No more forgetting meetings or running out of milk!

I used a bunch of tech to make it work:

  • WhatsApp for getting messages
  • Some AI magic to understand them
  • Google Calendar to keep track of everything

Has anyone else tried something like this? I’d love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions you might have about how I set it up. It’s been super helpful for me, and I think it could help others too!

Wow, this is really impressive! I’ve been struggling with managing my messages and calendar for ages. Your solution sounds like a real time-saver. I’m curious about the accuracy of the AI in interpreting messages. Does it ever misunderstand context or miss important details? I’ve had some frustrating experiences with AI assistants before, but yours sounds more sophisticated. Also, have you noticed any impact on your battery life or data usage since implementing this system? I’d be interested in trying something similar, but I’m a bit concerned about potential drawbacks. Any insights you could share from your experience would be greatly appreciated!

I appreciate you sharing your innovative project. It’s an intriguing solution to a common problem many of us face with message overload and scheduling. The integration of WhatsApp, AI, and Google Calendar is particularly clever. I’m curious about the AI component - what specific technologies or models did you use for message parsing and importance determination? Also, have you encountered any privacy concerns or limitations with handling WhatsApp messages through an external system? While it sounds quite useful, I’d be interested in hearing more about the technical implementation and any challenges you faced during development.

I’ve implemented a similar system using IFTTT (If This Then That) for email-to-calendar integration, but your WhatsApp-based solution sounds more advanced. The AI component is intriguing. Have you considered open-sourcing your project? It could benefit from community contributions and potentially address some of the privacy concerns others have mentioned. Regarding accuracy, have you implemented any user feedback mechanism to improve the AI’s performance over time? This could help fine-tune the system and reduce errors. Additionally, have you explored expanding its capabilities to other messaging platforms or productivity tools? The potential applications seem quite broad.

woah, thats pretty neat! i’ve been drowning in msgs lately. how smart is the AI? does it ever mess up and put wrong stuff in ur calendar? also, how secure is it? don’t want my convos getting leaked lol. might give it a try if its not too complicated to set up!

thats pretty cool! i’ve been looking for something like that. how long did it take u to set up? im not super techy but id love to give it a shot. do u think itd work with telegram instead of whatsapp? thanks for sharing!
