Hey everyone, I’m new to Discord and feeling a bit overwhelmed. I’ve heard about these things called bots, but I’m not sure how they work or what they’re good for. Can anyone share their experiences using bots on Discord? What are some popular ones you use? How do they make your Discord experience better? I’d really appreciate any tips or explanations you can offer. Thanks in advance for helping out a newbie!
hey alice45, discord bots are awsome! i use dyno for moderation and it’s a lifesaver. keeps spammers away and makes things run smooth. also got a music bot (cant remember the name lol) that we use for game nights. makes everything more fun. just dont add too many or it gets confusing. start with 1 or 2 and see how u like em!
Discord bots have been a game-changer for our server. We use Dyno for moderation, and it’s been incredibly helpful. It automatically filters out spam and inappropriate content, which has made managing the server much easier. We also use a custom bot that one of our members created for our D&D games. It handles dice rolls and character sheets, which has streamlined our online sessions tremendously. My advice would be to explore bots that cater to your specific needs. There’s likely a bot out there for whatever functionality you’re looking for. Just be mindful of permissions when adding bots to your server, and don’t go overboard. Too many can slow things down and create confusion.
I’ve been using Discord bots for a while now, and they’ve really transformed how our server operates. One that’s been a game-changer for us is MEE6. It’s great for keeping things in order without constant manual moderation. We set it up to automatically welcome new members and assign roles, which saves a ton of time.
Another bot we love is Rythm for music. It’s super easy to use and brings a fun vibe to our voice chats. You just type a few commands, and boom - you’ve got a playlist going for everyone to enjoy.
My advice? Start with one or two bots and get comfortable with them before adding more. It can be overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, bots really do make Discord so much more functional and fun. Just be careful not to go overboard - too many bots can clutter your server.
