Discovered my private information (CPF, home address, mobile) exposed through a Telegram search bot

Hello everyone,

I live in Brazil and today I discovered something very disturbing. There’s a Telegram bot named Dataintel_bot that displays my complete personal details when someone searches for me.

The bot has my complete name, CPF number, home address, and mobile number. I’m completely confused about how they got this information. I never posted these details anywhere online and I don’t think I was involved in any data leak that I know about.

This bot functions similar to a database search tool. You type in someone’s name, CPF, or phone number and it returns matching profiles with very precise information. It shows some details for free and then requests payment to see everything.

I tried searching for myself and was completely surprised to find all my data there. This doesn’t seem like basic web scraping to me. It looks like they have access to leaked database information.

My main questions are:

  • Has anyone here encountered this type of search bot before?
  • Could this be connected to any recent data breaches in Brazil?
  • What’s the best way to report this issue to authorities?
  • What options do people have for protection in situations like this?

You can find this bot by searching “Dataintel_bot” directly in Telegram (not posting direct links due to community rules).

Note to moderators: please approve this post if it gets caught in filters.

Appreciate any help.

damn, that’s scary. i’ve heard about these bots but didn’t know they had brazilian data too. most telegram bots pull from old database dumps floating around dark web markets. try reporting the bot directly to telegram - they’ll sometimes shut them down if they get enough complaints. also check haveibeenpwned.com to see which breaches your data might be in.

Had the same issue last year. Built an automated system to track when my info shows up on different platforms.

These bots pull from multiple breach databases that get bundled and sold. Worst part? They constantly update with new leaks. Manual reporting works short-term, but new bots pop up all the time.

Automation saved me. Set up monitoring that checks dozens of sources daily and alerts me instantly when my data appears. Then automated scripts file complaints with the right authorities based on where it shows up.

Automation’s crucial because this never stops. Your data keeps surfacing in new places, so you need continuous monitoring and automatic responses.

I use Latenode since it handles API calls to different monitoring services, processes alerts, and triggers reporting workflows without daily manual checks. Way better than hoping individual reports fix everything.

I can understand your concern. I’ve had a similar experience with a Telegram bot exposing my information months ago. Through my research, I discovered that many of these bots source their data from corporate breaches rather than user negligence. Brazil has indeed faced several significant data leaks involving various sectors. I recommend filing a complaint with the ANPD and also considering a report to the police’s cybercrime department. The ANPD tends to respond faster and has a straightforward reporting process. In the meantime, keep a close eye on your financial transactions and consider enhancing security measures with your bank and mobile service provider to guard against potential scams.

Hi I have a CPF number. I am not expert of Telegram. How can I check what is in there for me ?
