Do major companies still use MySQL, or have they moved to alternative database systems?

Hey everyone! I’m trying to figure out if MySQL is still a big player in the corporate world. Are major companies sticking with it, or have they switched to other options like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server?

I’m also curious about the job market for MySQL database administrators. Is it worth specializing in MySQL, or should I focus on learning other database systems?

If anyone has experience working with databases in big companies, I’d love to hear your thoughts! What’s the current trend you’re seeing? Are there still plenty of MySQL jobs out there, or is the demand shifting?

Thanks in advance for any info you can share. It’ll really help me plan my career path!

mysql still widely used in big companies, but trend is shifting. lots use hybrid approaches now. mysql still good 4 certain tasks, but nosql databases gaining ground. job market for mysql admins exists, but diversifying skills is smart. learning multiple db systems = more opportunities.
