Dynamic JSON file modifications not persisting on cloud hosting platform

I’m running into a strange problem with my application. When I run my code locally on my computer, everything works fine and my JSON files get updated as expected. But when I deploy the same code to a cloud platform, the JSON files don’t seem to get modified at all.

I’m using a Node.js application with the filesystem module to write data to JSON files. My setup includes deploying to a cloud service and storing my source code in a git repository. I think this might be related to how file systems work in hosted environments, but I’m not sure how to fix it.
