Hey everyone,
I’m curious about the new beta feature that lets Plaud work with Zapier. Has anyone given it a try yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I’m having a hard time figuring out how to make calendar events from the summary of a transcript. It’s pretty frustrating. If you’ve managed to do this, I’d really appreciate some tips.
Also, I’m wondering how you guys handle custom outputs and prompts when using Zapier. Any tricks or best practices you’ve found?
I’m pretty new to this whole integration thing, so any advice would be super helpful. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!
I’ve been experimenting with Plaud’s Zapier integration, and it’s been quite interesting. For calendar events from transcripts, I found success using a combination of Plaud’s summarization feature and Zapier’s parsing capabilities. It took some trial and error, but I eventually got it working by extracting key date and time information from the summary using regex in a Formatter step.
Regarding custom outputs and prompts, I’ve had good results by setting up a Google Sheet with various prompts and using Zapier to pull from it dynamically. This approach allows for easy updates without modifying the Zap itself.
One challenge I encountered was maintaining consistency across different Plaud outputs. I solved this by implementing a standardization step in my Zaps to ensure uniform data structure. It’s extra work upfront but saves time in the long run.
been playin with plaud’s zapier thing too. for calendar stuff, try usin the date/time parser in zapier after plaud spits out the summary. works ok most times. custom prompts? i just made a buncha templates in plaud n pick em with zapier. not perfect but gets the job done. keep at it, youll figure it out!
I’ve been working with Plaud’s Zapier integration for a few weeks now, and it’s been quite the learning curve. For creating calendar events from transcript summaries, I found success by using a multi-step Zap. First, I use Plaud to generate the summary, then pass that through a formatter step to extract key details like date, time, and event title. Finally, I feed those into my calendar app.
As for custom outputs and prompts, I’ve had good results by creating a library of pre-defined prompts in Plaud and then using Zapier’s ‘Choose from a list’ action to select the appropriate one based on certain triggers. It takes some setup, but it’s been a game-changer for consistency.
One tip: don’t overlook Zapier’s built-in testing feature. It’s been invaluable for troubleshooting and refining my Zaps without cluttering up my actual workflows. Hope this helps, and good luck with your integration journey!
