Many beginners often wonder how to get started with Facebook Leads Ads on Latenode and how to build basic scenarios, such as saving incoming responses to a Google Sheet. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process step by step.
Authorization on Latenode
- Start by navigating to Latenode and logging into your Facebook Leads Ads account.
- From the list, select the specific page you want to track.
- Once logged in, open a new tab and head over to the Facebook Leads Ads Tool for testing.
Fetching Test Data from Facebook Leads Ads Tool
-
On the Facebook Leads Ads Tool page, select the desired page and the form you want to test.
-
Fill in the test data you’d like to receive in your scenario.
Important: Before submitting the form, return to your scenario on Latenode and click RUN ONCE to ensure the scenario is ready to capture the test data.
- Confirm the form submission. You’ll receive a notification confirming the successful execution.
Working with the Data
-
After completing the steps above, return to Latenode. You’ll see that the data has been successfully captured.
Here’s what the data looks like internally:
-
But how do you save it to a Google Sheet?
First, let’s save each row as a variable for easier handling. To do this, add a Set Variables node.
You can do this manually by copying the variable path.
As you can see, this method allows you to store all the necessary data in convenient variables. -
Next, we’ll transfer this data to a Google Sheet. For this example, I’ve created a new Google Sheet with the following rows:
-
Add a Google Sheets: Add New Row node, authorize your account, and connect the desired sheet. For convenience, you can enable the toggle to display all column headers in your sheet.
-
Map the variables from the previously created Set Variables node to the corresponding fields in the Google Sheet.
-
After filling in all the necessary fields, perform another test run to ensure everything works as expected. Then, save and click Deploy.
Done!
Your scenario is now fully automated. All incoming form responses will be automatically recorded in your Google Sheet.
