Hey everyone! I need some help finding a good music streaming app. I used to have this modified music app that worked great for a while, but recently it stopped working because of some region restrictions. The app keeps showing error messages and won’t let me log in anymore.
I’m looking for recommendations for music apps that don’t have annoying advertisements or premium restrictions. I want something where I can search for songs easily and play whatever I want without interruptions. I tried using a YouTube alternative but the search function is really clunky on mobile and it’s frustrating to use.
Does anyone know any reliable music streaming applications that offer unlimited listening without subscription fees? I don’t mind if it’s an official app or something else, as long as it works well and has a decent music library. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!
YouTube Music’s free tier might work better than what you tried. The mobile search is way more reliable than third-party YouTube apps, and yeah there are ads between songs but not nearly as many as regular YouTube videos. You can make playlists and the recommendations are actually pretty good. SoundCloud’s another solid option - tons of indie artists upload there and you can stream for hours without hitting paywalls. Audio quality isn’t always perfect but it’s free and legal. I’ve used both for about six months and haven’t wanted to go back to those modified apps that constantly break.
I dealt with the same thing - modified apps constantly breaking was driving me crazy. Here’s what actually worked for me: switched to Spotify’s free tier but mostly use it on desktop. The web player lets you play any song you want, and mobile isn’t terrible if you set up decent playlists first. Yeah there are ads, but they’re predictable and not overwhelming. Also found out most libraries give you free access to music streaming through Hoopla or Freegal. The selection’s more limited than Spotify, but it’s totally legal and no ads once you get a library card.
