Please remember to use this new functionality wisely. Avoid trying to circumvent our rules by posting GIFs that would normally break guidelines if they were standard posts or comments. Our community standards still apply with this feature.

finally! i’ve been waiting forever for this. other subs with gifs are way more fun to browse. just hope ppl don’t go crazy with it right away and ruin it for everyone else lol
Smart way to roll out GIFs without losing control. I’ve seen forums go from text-only to unlimited GIF chaos - total mess for weeks. Good call reminding people that existing rules still apply to GIFs. People always think visual content gets a free pass. My only worry is server load and mobile loading times. Perfect timing on this rollout. I’ve seen other communities get overwhelmed when they first add GIFs, so the heads up about guidelines is smart. The tricky part will be GIFs that work fine on their own but wouldn’t fly as regular posts. Hope the mod tools can handle the flood this’ll probably bring.
