Hey everyone. I’m in a bit of a pickle and could use some advice. My Gmail account got shut down recently because of some sketchy content.\n\nSome random Telegram account sent me a few videos. Like an idiot I got curious and downloaded them. They ended up in my email cloud storage automatically. There were about 4 videos total.\n\nI’m not too worried about losing the account itself. What’s really freaking me out is the potential legal trouble. Has anyone dealt with something similar? What are the chances I could face actual consequences? Or is it unlikely anything will come of this?\n\nI know I messed up big time. Just trying to figure out how worried I should be. Any insights would be super helpful. Thanks in advance.
I’d strongly advise consulting with a lawyer who specializes in cybercrime and digital issues. They can give you a proper assessment of your situation and potential legal risks. While it’s concerning that your account was disabled, it doesn’t necessarily mean legal action will follow. However, it’s best to be prepared. In the meantime, don’t attempt to access the account or contact Google about it without legal counsel. Also, review your online security practices moving forward - be extremely cautious about downloading unknown content, especially from random sources. This situation highlights how easily digital missteps can have serious consequences. Stay calm, but take it seriously and seek professional legal guidance as soon as possible.
