Hey everyone! I just tried out the AI feature in Gmail that comes with the premium package. It’s called Gemini, I think. I asked it to tell me about myself, and wow, it knew everything!
It got my height right, knew what I did when I was little, had info on my family, listed all my past jobs, and even talked about my hobbies. I’m not sure if I should be amazed or a bit freaked out by how much it knows.
Has anyone else played around with this? What do you think about it? Is it cool or kinda creepy? If you haven’t tried it yet, maybe give it a shot and let me know what you find out. I’m really curious to hear what other people think about this AI knowing so much about us.
I’ve been hesitant to try Gemini, but your experience has piqued my curiosity. The level of personalization sounds impressive, yet it raises questions about data collection and usage. As someone who values privacy, I’m concerned about the implications of an AI having access to such detailed personal information.
While the efficiency gains are tempting, I wonder about the long-term consequences of relying on AI for personal tasks. Does it make us more productive, or does it potentially erode our ability to manage our own lives? It’s a complex issue that goes beyond just Gmail.
Perhaps the key is to use it selectively and remain aware of what information we’re sharing. It’s crucial to regularly review privacy settings and understand how our data is being used. Ultimately, each user needs to weigh the benefits against the potential risks.
yo, i tried gemini too. kinda freaky how much it knows, right? like, it’s cool for getting stuff done faster, but im not sure i want an AI all up in my biz. maybe we should be more careful bout what we share online? idk, just thinking out loud here. wat do u guys think about keeping some things private?
I’ve been using Gemini in Gmail for a few weeks now, and I have to say, it’s a double-edged sword. On one hand, the efficiency boost is undeniable. It’s saved me hours on email drafting and scheduling. But on the other, the depth of its knowledge about me is unsettling.
Just yesterday, it suggested I reschedule a meeting because it ‘remembered’ I had a doctor’s appointment. I hadn’t even put that in my calendar yet! It’s like having a super-efficient personal assistant who’s also a bit of a stalker.
I’m torn between embracing the convenience and worrying about privacy. Google says it’s all secure, but it’s hard not to feel exposed. I guess this is the price of progress in the AI age. We’re trading privacy for efficiency, and I’m not sure how I feel about that trade-off in the long run.
