Ever since the latest interface redesign rolled out, I’ve been dealing with some serious performance problems in Airtable. The whole platform feels sluggish now compared to how it used to run.
I’m seeing really long loading times when switching between different views or tables. Add-ons and integrations seem to hang or fail to initialize properly. Even basic operations like filtering records or updating fields that used to happen instantly now take several seconds to complete.
The new design itself feels clunky to navigate, but the speed issues are what’s really affecting my workflow. Simple tasks that I could knock out quickly before now require a lot more patience.
Wondering if other users are running into similar slowdowns or if there’s something specific causing these delays on my end?
totally feel u! since the update, i’m also noticing it’s way slower. thought it was my connection, but if others are having issues, it seems like a bigger problem. navigating takes forever, and its super annoying when trying to get stuff done fast.
Same here - performance tanked after the update. The worst part is with big databases (thousands of records). Scrolling through views now lags like crazy, and bulk operations that used to fly now timeout all the time. I tried clearing browser cache and turning off extensions, which helped a tiny bit, but the main issues are still there. It’s especially bad with complex formulas or when you’re linking records across multiple tables. The new interface seems way more resource-hungry, which sucks if you’re dealing with large datasets.
Been dealing with this exact issue for weeks. What’s really frustrating is how inconsistent it is - sometimes it works fine, other times it’s completely unusable. I’ve noticed it’s worse during peak hours, so I think their servers can’t handle the new interface’s resource demands. My browser’s memory usage has definitely gone up since the update. I ended up switching some critical workflows to other tools temporarily because I couldn’t afford the downtime. Hopefully they’re working on optimizations, but this rollout feels way too premature given these performance issues.
We hit the same issue when our company switched project management tools last year. The vendor pushed a major UI update without proper load testing.
Can you switch back to the old interface? These rollouts usually keep legacy views around during transitions.
Check if you’re running browser extensions that might conflict. I’ve seen ad blockers and privacy tools break modern web apps in weird ways.
If it’s still slow, document exactly what actions cause the slowdowns and send that to support. Include browser version, OS, and database size. Companies fix things faster when you give them concrete steps instead of vague complaints.
Consider setting up automation through Latenode for your critical Airtable tasks until they fix this. At least you won’t be stuck waiting for manual operations.
