I have long been a supporter of Proton, investing in its full suite of services for many years. Still, I’m starting to question if I really need every feature it offers. My email usage is minimal, reserved mostly for receiving receipts from online purchases, and I can’t recall the last time I sent a personal message. With these considerations in mind, is it time to give Gmail another try?
Returning to Gmail was a decision I considered after using Proton for a while. My experience has been quite positive, especially given my limited use primarily for receipts and online notifications. I appreciated the simplicity and reliability of Gmail, and the integration with other Google services proved quite beneficial. Although I initially valued Proton for its focus on privacy, I found that for my needs, Gmail’s streamlined interface and efficient spam filtering made managing my emails a lot less cumbersome. It appears that sometimes the simplest solution works best without unnecessary extras.
