I’ve been using the DeezLoad bot on Telegram for a while now and recently noticed some suspicious behavior. The bot seems to be asking for payments or personal information that it never requested before. Some users in various forums are claiming they got scammed by this bot.
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues with this particular Telegram bot. Has it been compromised or taken over by malicious actors? Are there any reliable alternatives that provide similar functionality without the security risks?
I want to make sure I’m not putting my account or personal data at risk by continuing to use it. Any insights or experiences would be really helpful.
yep can confirm this is happening. got hit by one of these fake bots last week and they tried getting my phone number. the real deezload died ages ago so anything claiming to be it now is probably sketchy. id avoid any telegram bots asking for payments tbh, thats never how the legit ones worked
Unfortunately yes, there have been multiple reports of the original DeezLoad bot being compromised or cloned by scammers over the past few months. What you’re experiencing sounds exactly like what happened to several users I know personally. The legitimate version never asked for payments or sensitive information, so that’s definitely a red flag. From what I’ve gathered, the issue is that scammers create fake versions with similar names and usernames that are nearly identical to the original. They then promote these through fake links and channels. The real DeezLoad project actually shut down officially some time ago, which makes it easier for these fraudulent versions to operate. I’d strongly recommend stopping use immediately and checking if you’ve shared any personal details with it recently. Also worth running a security check on your Telegram account settings just to be safe.
This matches what I experienced about two months ago. The bot started requesting verification through some external website that looked completely different from anything I had seen before. What really caught my attention was that it began asking for credit card information supposedly for “premium features” that were always free previously. I immediately stopped using it and did some research which confirmed my suspicions. The original developers discontinued the project quite some time ago, so any current versions are essentially imposters taking advantage of the name recognition. I ended up switching to different solutions entirely rather than trying to find another similar bot, since the whole ecosystem seems compromised now. Would definitely recommend backing away from it completely and maybe clearing your chat history with the bot as an extra precaution.
