How to automatically greet viewers when they enter my stream chat

Hey everyone! I’m just starting out as a streamer and I’ve noticed something cool on other channels. When people join the stream, a bot automatically says hello to them by name in the chat. This seems to encourage lurkers to start talking and makes the whole stream feel more welcoming.

I’ve heard that mIRC might be one way to do this, but I’m not sure what steps to take once I have it installed. Are there other tools or bots that can do this automatically? What’s the easiest way to set up this kind of viewer greeting system?

Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Streamlabs Chatbot is your best bet. I tried several options and this one’s way easier to set up than mIRC. Download it, connect to Twitch, and you’ve got a built-in greeting system ready to customize. You can greet first-timers only, regulars, or everyone who joins. Tons of customization - throw in usernames, follower status, even randomize messages so it doesn’t sound robotic. Takes 10 minutes to set up and runs smooth in the background.
