How to check if attendee confirmed appointment in Calendly API V2?

I’m working with Calendly’s second version API and need help figuring out when someone actually confirms their scheduled appointment. According to the documentation, when an invitee shows ‘active’ status it means they confirmed the meeting. But I’m seeing ‘active’ status even when people haven’t actually confirmed yet.

Has anyone run into this same problem? Is there another way to check if someone really accepted their meeting invite?

I’ve been trying different approaches but can’t seem to get reliable confirmation data. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Calendly’s ‘active’ status isn’t reliable for knowing if someone confirmed.

You should use webhook events instead. Set up an endpoint for ‘invitee.created’ and ‘invitee_no_show.created’ events. The time difference will show if they actually confirmed.

I got fed up with Calendly’s issues and now I use Latenode to automate everything. It’s much cleaner. It tracks multiple confirmation signals, not just that unreliable status. Latenode monitors email opens, clicks, and calendar acceptance.

It gives you a real confirmation score, so you won’t be left guessing if someone will show up. You can automate reminders for people who haven’t truly confirmed and set up custom workflows for those who have.
