I spent hours waiting for an email with my Early Access key after watching the required stream time on Twitch. Turns out they don’t send it to your email at all! You need to manually collect it from your Twitch account. Go to your profile picture in the top right corner, then select ‘Drops & Rewards’ from the menu. Make sure you’re on the ‘Inventory’ section and scroll down to the very bottom. Your Early Access key should be waiting there for you to claim. Hope this saves someone else the confusion I went through!
Been there with the waiting game. Manually collecting drops across different games is such a pain.
I built simple automation that monitors my Twitch Drops inventory and pings me when items are ready to claim. It tracks viewing progress across multiple streams so I know exactly when I’ve hit the required time.
Checks every few minutes and logs all my drops with timestamps. No more guessing if I watched long enough or missing keys sitting in my inventory.
You can set up something similar pretty easily. Just connect to Twitch API and add basic monitoring logic. Takes about 15 minutes to build, saves hours of manual checking.
Check out https://latenode.com for setting this up.
I encountered a similar situation where I had to wait longer for my key. Ensure that your Twitch account is properly linked to the game account, as this can affect the rewards you receive. After watching, it took a while for the key to appear in my inventory, so be patient. It’s frustrating, but once everything is linked correctly, the process runs smoother. Just remember to check the ‘Drops & Rewards’ section again if you don’t see it immediately.
Some browsers mess with Twitch Drops tracking. I watched way longer than needed but got nothing. I switched from Chrome to Firefox and after watching for just 10 minutes, the drop showed up. Also, make sure you’re logged in while watching – it sounds obvious, but some people browse as guests and then wonder where their rewards are. Keep an eye on the progress bar at the bottom to confirm your viewing time is being tracked.
omg thank you mike71! i was literally refreshing my email for like 2 hours yesterday thinking something was wrong with their system. found my key sitting there in drops inventory the whole time lol. wish they made this more obvious somewhere
Quick heads up - you need to enable the specific game/campaign in your Twitch Drops settings first. I screwed this up once and watched an entire stream only to realize I hadn’t opted into that drop campaign. Check the ‘Campaigns’ tab under ‘Drops & Rewards’ and make sure you’re enrolled before you start watching. Otherwise you’re wasting your time - progress won’t track at all if you’re not enrolled.
