How to export vector graphics from Figma to other design software?

I’m having trouble moving my vector artwork from Figma to Adobe Illustrator. I created a company logo in Figma and need to make some modifications in Illustrator, but I can’t seem to transfer it properly.

With other design applications like Sketch, Adobe XD, or Canva, I can easily copy and paste vector elements between programs. However, Figma seems to have restrictions that prevent this workflow.

I’ve tried the standard copy-paste method, but nothing transfers over. The vector logo just won’t come through when I attempt to paste it into Illustrator. Is there a specific export method or workaround that allows vector graphics to be moved from Figma to other design tools? What’s the best approach to maintain the vector format during this transfer process?

yo, svg export is def the way to go! just choose that when exporting in figma, and it should keep the vectors nice and clean. then u can just open it in illustrator and make ur changes. way easier that way!
