How to Hide Duration Column from Spotify Playlist View

I’m trying to customize my Spotify playlist display but can’t figure out how to hide the duration column. Right now my playlists show track name, artist, album, and the time length of each song. I want to remove that time duration part so I only see the track title, artist name, and album information.

I’ve looked through the settings but can’t find an option to customize which columns appear in the playlist view. Does anyone know if there’s a way to hide specific columns or change what information gets displayed?

Any suggestions would be really appreciated since I prefer a cleaner look without the time stamps showing.

Had the exact same annoyance when I switched from other music apps that allowed more interface flexibility. What I discovered is that Spotify’s column structure is completely locked down across all platforms - desktop, web, and mobile. I spent hours searching through hidden settings and even tried modifying the app’s local files on Windows, but everything gets overwritten during updates. The duration column is embedded deep in their UI framework. I eventually gave up and just adjusted the window width to make the duration less prominent, though it doesn’t fully hide it. It’s honestly baffling that such a basic customization option doesn’t exist in 2024, especially when competitors offer way more interface control.

Unfortunately, Spotify doesn’t offer an option to hide or customize columns in the playlist view. I’ve been using Spotify for years and this limitation has been consistent on both desktop and mobile. The duration column is hardcoded, with no option to remove it. Some third-party clients might provide more customization, but they often lack the functionality of the official app. Submitting feedback through Spotify’s community forums might help, although feature requests often take time to be considered. The current layout appears to be fixed by design.

I ran into this same issue when trying to clean up my workspace view. After digging around extensively, there really isn’t a native way to remove that duration column from Spotify’s interface. I tried browser extensions like Stylus to inject custom CSS that would hide the duration elements, but Spotify’s frequent updates tend to break these workarounds pretty quickly. The desktop app is even more restrictive than the web player in terms of customization options. Your best bet might be exploring alternative music players that can connect to Spotify’s API, though you’d sacrifice some convenience features. It’s one of those annoying design decisions that feels unnecessarily rigid.

i totally feel you on this! it’s frustrating when you can’t customize things. the web version might provide a diff experience, but the duration column might still show up. just gotta get used to it i guess

yeah this is one of those spotify quirks that drives me nuts too. tried using spicetify themes before but even those cant really remove the duraiton column completely. its like hardwired into their interface or something. maybe try making the playlist window narrower so it gets cut off?
