In Figma, how do I create a prototype link to a specific element on another page?

Hey everyone! I’m working on a Figma project and I’m stuck. I want to make a prototype link that goes from one page to a specific part of another page. Like, instead of just linking to the whole page, I want it to go straight to something specific, maybe a form at the bottom.

Is this even possible in Figma? And if it is, how do I do it? I’ve tried a few things but can’t seem to figure it out. Any tips or tricks would be super helpful!

Here’s what I’m trying to do:

  • Start on Page A
  • Click a button
  • Go to Page B, but scroll down to a specific element

Has anyone done something like this before? Thanks in advance for any help!

I’ve tackled this issue before and found a workaround that might suit your needs in Figma. In my experience, you first need to create a dedicated frame around the specific element on the destination page. Assigning it a unique name, for example ‘Target_Section’, lets you easily select it later. Then, on your starting page, choose the element you want to act as the trigger and set the interaction in the Prototype tab to navigate directly to that frame. Setting the animation to Instant generally minimizes unwanted scrolling, even if there is sometimes a slight flicker.
