Hey everyone, I’ve been tracking my case status and noticed something odd with the API data. My case number starts with IOE09295 and I’m curious if anyone else has seen their updatedAtTimestamp field displaying 2025-05-31 lately?
I’m trying to understand if this implies there was actual movement on cases or if it’s merely a system error. The format for the timestamp appears like this:
Has anyone with similar receipt numbers experienced the same thing? I’m getting anxious about whether this indicates real progress. Thanks for any information you can provide!
totally feel you! my case is showing that too, but no changes on the USCIS page. seems like it might just be some glitch or backend stuff. i wouldn’t stress unless you see updates on the official site, but it’s hard not to worry yo!
Same situation here with an IOE09295 case. What I discovered through checking multiple times daily is that these May 31st timestamps seem to batch update across numerous cases simultaneously, which strongly suggests automated system processes rather than individual case reviews. I cross-referenced my timestamp changes with actual status updates over the past month and found zero correlation between API timestamp modifications and meaningful case progression. The pattern appears consistent with database maintenance windows that USCIS runs periodically. While I understand the anxiety these changes create, I’ve learned to focus solely on official status page updates rather than API metadata. The timestamp fluctuations have occurred three times for my case without any corresponding status changes, so I’m treating them as technical artifacts now.
I can confirm seeing the exact same timestamp behavior on my IOE09295 case recently. The May 31st date appeared in my API response about a week ago, but when I checked the official USCIS website, my case status remained unchanged from the previous update. After monitoring it for several days, I believe this is likely a backend system maintenance timestamp rather than actual case processing activity. I’ve noticed similar phantom timestamps during previous USCIS system updates that didn’t correlate with any real movement. My recommendation would be to wait a few more days and see if any substantive status change follows. If the official case status doesn’t update within the next week, it’s probably safe to assume this was just system maintenance.
I’ve also seen some timestamp changes on my case recently.
For me, the only meaningful update was the case-level timestamp that changed on Nov 12. The other dates I saw afterward looked more like system logs than real movement.
Still waiting for the next official update.
Anyone else with recent case-level changes on their end?
