I’m having trouble accessing GitHub right now. It seems like the site might be down. Is anyone else facing the same issue?
I was in the middle of working on a project and pushing some changes when suddenly I couldn’t connect. At first, I thought it was just my internet, but other sites are loading fine.
Has anyone heard about any scheduled maintenance or known problems with GitHub today? It’s kind of frustrating because I have a deadline coming up soon.
If it is down, does anyone know how long these outages usually last? I’m pretty new to using GitHub regularly, so I’m not sure what to expect.

I’ve been experiencing similar issues with GitHub today. It’s not just you. I checked their status page (status.github.com) and it shows some ongoing problems with Git operations and API requests. These outages are relatively rare for GitHub, but they do happen occasionally. In my experience, they usually resolve within a few hours.
For future reference, it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on their status page or follow @githubstatus on Twitter for real-time updates. As for your deadline, I’d suggest informing your team or client about the situation. Most people understand that these things are beyond our control.
