Hello everyone! I’ve been using Zapier for a while now and I’m on their plan that gives me 2000 automation runs per month. I noticed that when you look at their higher tier plans, the cost per automation becomes much lower if you go with the bigger packages. This got me thinking - is there any way to join forces with someone who already has a large Zapier account? Maybe like a cost-sharing arrangement where multiple people can use the same subscription to get better rates? Has anyone tried something like this before or knows if Zapier allows this kind of setup? I’m trying to find ways to reduce my monthly costs while still getting the automations I need. Any advice would be really helpful!
yeah zapier doesn’t really allow this kind of sharing between different people unfortunately. i think they track usage per account pretty closely and would probaly flag suspicious activity if multiple users were accessing from different locations. maybe look into zapier alternatives like make.com or n8n which might have better pricing for your usecase?
I looked into this exact scenario about six months ago when my automation needs were growing but didn’t justify jumping to the next tier alone. Unfortunately, Zapier’s terms of service are pretty strict about account sharing between different organizations or individuals. Each subscription is tied to a specific user account, and sharing login credentials violates their policy. They designed their pricing structure around individual users or teams within the same company. What I ended up doing instead was carefully auditing my zaps to optimize efficiency - combining triggers where possible and eliminating redundant automations. This reduced my monthly usage by about 30%. You might also consider their annual billing discount which brings down the effective monthly cost. Some users have mentioned success with Zapier’s webhook approach to consolidate multiple workflows, though it requires more technical setup.
From what I understand about Zapier’s business model, they really don’t want multiple unrelated parties using the same subscription. The account is meant for a single organization or individual, and they have monitoring systems in place to detect unusual access patterns. I actually spoke with their support team about team management features last year, and they made it clear that sharing outside your actual company would violate their terms. Rather than risk account suspension, you might want to explore optimizing your current usage first. I managed to cut my monthly runs by nearly 40% by restructuring some workflows and using filters more effectively. Another option worth considering is upgrading temporarily during high-usage months and downgrading when your needs decrease - Zapier allows plan changes pretty flexibly.
