Hey everyone,
I’m curious to hear how the ongoing WordPress situation is impacting you all. It seems like there’s a lot of drama in the community right now, and I’m wondering how other developers are coping.
- What challenges are you facing because of this?
- Have you found any workarounds or solutions?
- Has it affected your projects or clients?
- Are you considering switching to a different CMS?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. It would be great to know if I’m not alone in feeling stressed about this whole mess. Maybe we can share some tips on how to navigate these choppy waters?
Let’s chat about it!
The WordPress conflict has definitely thrown a wrench in my workflow. I’ve been using WordPress for years, and suddenly I’m questioning everything. My main issue is the uncertainty around future updates and security. I’ve had to allocate extra time for each project to research potential alternatives and discuss contingency plans with clients. It’s added stress and unpaid hours to my work.
One approach I’ve taken is to start building sites with more modular, decoupled architectures. This way, if we need to pivot away from WordPress in the future, it won’t be such a monumental task. I’m also beefing up my JavaScript skills to be better prepared for potential shifts in the CMS landscape.
Despite the challenges, I’m trying to see this as an opportunity to diversify my skill set and future-proof my business. It’s not ideal, but adaptability is key in this industry.
yeah, it’s been a headache. clients are freaking out, asking if their sites are safe. i’ve had to spend time reassuring them and explaining the situation. not fun. thinking about checking out other options like ghost or webflow, but wordpress is so familar. hoping this drama blows over soon.
