Hey everyone,
I’ve been trying to use this Android app that lets you upload pics to Imgur. It’s supposed to work through RapidAPI’s commercial API thing. But for the last few days, it’s been totally busted. Can’t upload anything!
I checked Imgur’s API status page and it says everything’s fine. No ongoing problems or anything.
I sent a help ticket to RapidAPI about it, but they’re being super quiet. No word back yet.
Does anyone know if there’s some kind of outage with the commercial API? Or maybe you’ve heard when they might fix it? I’m getting pretty frustrated here.
Any info would be awesome. Thanks!
hey, i had similar issues last week. turns out imgur was doing some maintenance on their api endpoints. didnt see any official announcements tho. maybe try using a different upload method for now? or wait a few days, it might resolve itself. good luck!
I’ve been dealing with Imgur API issues through RapidAPI for a while now, and it can be frustrating. In my experience, these problems often stem from rate limiting or temporary API key issues. Have you checked your API usage quota? Sometimes RapidAPI silently restricts access if you’ve hit your limit.
Another thing to try is generating a new API key from your RapidAPI dashboard. I’ve had success with this before when uploads mysteriously stopped working. If that doesn’t help, you might want to look into using Imgur’s API directly. It’s a bit more complex to set up initially, but gives you more control and often fewer intermediary issues.
Lastly, don’t underestimate the power of persistence with support tickets. If RapidAPI doesn’t respond soon, try reaching out on their community forums or social media. Sometimes that gets faster results than traditional support channels.
I’ve encountered this problem before with RapidAPI’s Imgur integration. In my experience, it’s often a temporary glitch that resolves itself within a few days. Have you tried clearing your app’s cache or reinstalling it? Sometimes that can help. If not, you might want to consider using Imgur’s direct API instead of going through RapidAPI. It’s a bit more work to set up, but I’ve found it to be more reliable in the long run. Keep an eye on RapidAPI’s status page too - they don’t always update it promptly, but it’s worth checking periodically for any announced issues or maintenance.
