Problem Overview:
I’m encountering a frustrating problem with my Jira tasks where the start dates and due dates inexplicably reset to previous dates that I never set. Even after I adjust these dates, they revert back to those earlier dates immediately upon refreshing or reopening the ticket.
Key Details:
- These dates are automatically assigned to random past values without any input from me.
- While I can modify the dates, they revert as soon as I refresh the page or relaunch the task.
- I haven’t introduced any new device automations that could affect these fields.
- There haven’t been recent changes to either the workflow or permissions associated with these tasks.
- This issue arises across several tasks rather than a single instance.
- My team members are also experiencing this problem with the same issues.
As a project admin in Jira, I expect to have complete control over the fields, and this issue is new—previously, I experienced no such trouble. No recent upgrades or configuration changes should be causing this behavior, to my knowledge.
Assistance Needed:
Has anyone else dealt with similar issues regarding the automatic resetting of due or start dates? Is it possible that there’s a misconfiguration behind the scenes, like a global automation or problems with field permissions?
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- I’ve checked for any active automations that might be altering the dates, but none match these tasks.
- I reviewed workflow rules for any potential transitions impacting the dates and found no recent modifications.
- I also tested across different browsers and cleared my cache, yet the issue continues.
I hope to resolve this soon so that I can revert the dates back to their intended values without hiccups.
