Jira workflow: Modifying assignee when changing issue status?

Is it a good idea to update the assignee of a Jira issue when I change its status to a state where someone else needs to work on it? For example, if I move an issue from ‘In Progress’ to ‘Ready for QA’, should I also change the assignee to the QA team member?
