Google Drive API rate limiting in AWS Lambda

I’m facing a problem with my Lambda function that creates files in a shared Google Drive folder. It’s been working fine for months but suddenly started failing last week. The error message suggests we’re hitting a rate limit:

Error: Too Many Requests

The function only runs about 10-20 times daily but sometimes processes 5 requests at once. Folder creation still works and Google Storage backups are fine.

Here’s a snippet of my original code:

I tried switching to OAuth 2.0 with refresh tokens but it’s tricky to set up in Lambda:

hey, i had a similar issue. try using google drive api v2 instead of v3. it has different rate limits and might solve ur problem. also, make sure ur not sharing the same service account across multiple lambdas. each lambda should have its own creds to avoid hitting limits. good luck!
