Hey everyone! I’m working with a company that needs to set up online training but I’m not sure which platform to choose. They’re already using HubSpot for their sales stuff and want something that connects smoothly with it.
Here’s what they need to do:
Create and launch training courses
Give access to external partners who aren’t in their customer database yet
Set up quizzes and tests to certify people
I haven’t dealt with learning platforms much before, especially connecting them to HubSpot. Does anyone have experience with this? What systems have worked well for you? Any tips would be really helpful since I want to make sure I recommend something solid.
i highly recommend checking out Docebo! we integrated it with HubSpot last year and everything synced up nicely. it can get pricey with more users, but it really does an awesome job with external partners. no need to add them to your CRM first
same boat here - went with thinkific. hubspot doesnt integrate natively, but zapier handles it no problem. partner access is straightforward and keeps training contacts out of your main crm. the certification badges look legit too, which partners really appreciate.
We did this same thing about 18 months ago and went with TalentLMS + HubSpot integration. Setup was easy and the data sync works great. The auto-enrollment based on HubSpot properties and deal stages is awesome. You can set up separate learning paths for external partners without messing up your main CRM. Certifications sync back as custom properties, so our sales team can see who’s done what training. One heads up - test the API limits during your trial if you’re planning to sync tons of training data regularly.
We went with LearnUpon after testing a few options with HubSpot. The integration handles external partner enrollment without messing up your main contact database. Best part? Completion data flows back to HubSpot as contact properties, so you can trigger follow-ups based on training progress. Quiz builder’s solid and certification tracking is straightforward. One heads up - map your data fields right during setup. Changing them later is a huge pain. Support helped us sort out sync issues early on. Price was reasonable compared to enterprise options but still had everything we needed.
Had this same issue 6 months back - went with Absorb LMS. The HubSpot connector’s solid and handles partner access without messing up your main database. Love how it separates partner registrations into their own portal while still syncing completion data back to HubSpot. Quiz engine’s robust and spits out decent-looking certificates. One heads up though - nail the user provisioning setup from day one. We got burned early with duplicate accounts when partners were already in our system. But overall it’s been rock solid and partners love the UX.
