Hey everyone! I’m trying to move away from Google services for privacy reasons, but I’m stuck on finding good scheduling alternatives. Right now I use Google Calendar with Calendly and they work great with Zoom integration.
The problem is I need something that can handle my client appointments automatically. When someone books a meeting, I want it to create a Zoom meeting link, email both me and my client with the details, and add everything to my calendar without me doing extra work.
I run online consultations through Zoom and this automated workflow is really important for my business. Has anyone found scheduling software that focuses on privacy but still connects well with Zoom? I’m willing to switch both my scheduler and calendar app if needed.
I get the privacy concerns with Google. Most scheduling tools make you manually piece together different services anyway.
Why not build your own automated workflow? You’ll have complete control instead of hunting for another compromised all-in-one tool.
I built something like this for my consulting work. Someone books through any privacy-focused calendar tool, and my workflow automatically creates the Zoom meeting, sends custom emails to both people, and syncs everything to whatever calendar app I want.
Best part? Use any calendar backend - self-hosted Nextcloud Calendar, Proton Calendar, whatever. No vendor lock-in.
Throw in reminder emails, pre-meeting forms, follow-up tasks - whatever you need. Runs completely separate from big tech.
You get the automation you want with your data staying put. Plus you can tweak it anytime without waiting for some company to maybe add features.

Been there when I ditched Google a few years ago. Privacy’s important but I wasn’t willing to tank my productivity.
Cal.com was my solution. Open source, you can self-host for total control, or use their hosted version that’s way more private than Calendly. Zoom integration works flawlessly - auto-creates meetings, sends emails to everyone, syncs with your calendar.
I use it with Proton Calendar now and it’s seamless. Client books, Zoom link generates, we both get emails with details, shows up in my calendar instantly. No manual work.
Hosted version’s about 12 bucks monthly but you get full automation without Google tracking. Want maximum privacy? Spin up your own instance on a VPS - takes maybe an hour.
I’ve done 500+ client calls with it. Zero issues with Zoom integration or email delivery. Beats piecing together random services that don’t play nice together.
