I’m dealing with a nightmare scenario right now and hoping someone can help. My GitHub organization (CodeVault) was using an Enterprise Trial subscription. When the trial period ended, I expected it would automatically switch back to a standard free plan. Instead, every single repository vanished - all my code commits, project stars, and contribution history disappeared!
There wasn’t any obvious notification that total deletion would occur, and now I’ve lost several months of development work. I’ve reached out to GitHub’s support team, but I’m also asking the community:
- Has this happened to anyone else here?
- Are there methods to restore deleted repositories?
- What’s the typical response time for GitHub support on these cases?
I’m incredibly upset because I expected a simple downgrade to free tier, not complete data removal. Any guidance or suggestions would be amazing!
