Hello everyone! My company is thinking about getting the Airtable Business subscription, but I’m concerned about the 125,000 record restriction they have for each base. Is there any legitimate way to work around this limitation, or do we just have to accept that this is how Airtable operates?
We’re dealing with large datasets and I’m worried we might hit this ceiling pretty quickly. Has anyone found effective strategies to manage this constraint? Would love to hear about your experiences with handling big amounts of data in Airtable.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
That 125k limit hits fast with big datasets. Trust me, I’ve been there.
Everyone jumps straight to splitting bases or upgrading to Enterprise, but there’s a better way. Automate your data management and use Airtable as part of a bigger system instead of the whole thing.
I built workflows that sync data between Airtable and other databases automatically. Active records stay in Airtable for daily work. Old or archived stuff gets moved to cheaper storage. Need the old data? Automation pulls it back instantly.
Smart filters work great too - only keep what’s relevant in your main base. Store everything else somewhere cheaper but keep it accessible through automation.
Treat Airtable like your workspace, not your warehouse. Let automation handle the heavy lifting so your team doesn’t even notice.
