New age verification requirements for explicit music content - What's your plan?

So I just heard that streaming platforms are starting to require age verification for explicit songs and albums. This means we’ll have to prove our age to keep listening to music with parental advisory labels.

Personally, I’m not planning to go through with the verification process. I’ve been using my music streaming service for almost two decades now, and this feels like too much of a privacy invasion. I’m thinking about using alternative methods to keep my music access unrestricted.

What about everyone else here? Are you going to submit your ID documents for age verification, or are you looking into other options? I’m curious if people are willing to comply with these new rules or if they’re going to find workarounds. It seems like accounts that don’t verify will get suspended and then permanently removed if you can’t prove you meet the age requirements in your country.

I verified last week when I got the notification. It took maybe five minutes—just uploaded my driver’s license photo and waited for approval. While I understand the privacy concerns, they already have my payment information and listening history. I was approved within a few hours and everything’s back to normal. I would prefer to handle this minor inconvenience rather than risk losing my playlists and Discover Weekly, which I’ve spent years curating. Switching platforms would mean losing my saved music and starting anew with the algorithm.

this sounds like complete BS. I use Spotify every day and have never seen any age verification for explicit music. you sure this isn’t a phishing scam? explicit tracks have been around forever without ID checks. I’d verify this is actually legit before you upload any documents.
