Hey everyone! I just saw that Apple has released the newest design resources for download. The iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 UI components can now be found in Figma. This is really exciting for designers focused on mobile apps who aim to keep up with Apple’s latest design standards.
I’m curious if anyone has started using these new design elements in their work. Are there significant differences from the prior version? Also, does anyone know if these kits come with the updated system fonts and color palettes that Apple talked about in their recent developer updates?
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the new design kit and any suggestions for effectively using these components in mobile app designs.
Downloaded the new kit yesterday and I’ve been checking it out during lunch. Biggest change is the typography - they tweaked line spacing and font weights so everything reads better on different screens. They expanded the color system with more semantic tokens, which is huge for keeping things consistent on bigger projects. The navigation components now have subtle animations built in, unlike the old version. Makes a real difference when showing prototypes to clients since the interactions actually feel natural. New system fonts are included and they play nice with Apple’s latest spacing guidelines. I’d start with their template screens first to see how everything works together before jumping into individual components. Documentation in the Figma file is actually solid this time.
Been working with iOS design kits for three years and finally tested the new one this morning. The component organization is way cleaner - Apple actually listened to feedback about the messy file structure. What caught my eye immediately was the new control states. Interactive elements have much better hover and pressed states that work great when designing for iPad with mouse support. The color palette updates are big but not overwhelming. They kept the core system colors and added more nuanced variants for accessibility. The new spacing tokens work really well with auto-layout in Figma. Makes responsive design way smoother when adapting iPhone layouts for iPad. The symbol library feels complete this time, especially for complex navigation patterns.
downloaded it this morning - the dark mode variants are way better now. apple finally fixed those contrast issues from ios 25 kit. they also added proper breakpoints for ipad pro layouts that were missing before. definitely update your component library.
