Newsletter Open Rates Declined After Switching from Keap to HubSpot

We recently migrated our email marketing from Keap to HubSpot about three months ago and noticed a significant drop in engagement metrics. Our monthly newsletter that reaches approximately 17,000 subscribers used to achieve open rates between 10-15% but now only gets around 3%. The weekly newsletter performance is even more concerning - it went from 25% opens down to just 10%. What’s particularly troubling is that HubSpot analytics show over half our subscriber base uses Gmail addresses, yet these contacts now have only 1% open rates. Has anyone experienced similar issues after platform migration? Are there specific HubSpot configuration settings or best practices we might be missing that could explain this dramatic decrease in email performance?

for sure! switching platforms can be a pain. i’ve had issues with HubSpot too. just give it some time to adjust, and def check your SPF/DKIM settings. that’s key for getting your emails into inboxes instead of spam!
