I was browsing through Miro’s social media updates earlier and came across some information about changes coming in the next game update. One thing that really caught my attention was the mention of modifications to how we handle large groups of enemies, particularly what they’re calling “The Mob” encounters. From what I understand, the current system for dealing with these crowd-based challenges is getting reworked, and it sounds like it’s going to be much more difficult than before. The thought of having to adapt to a completely new strategy for these encounters is honestly making me anxious about the upcoming patch. Has anyone else seen this information? What are your thoughts on how these changes might affect gameplay balance? I’m particularly concerned about how this will impact solo players who already struggle with group combat scenarios.
Been there when they overhauled boss mechanics two patches back. Panicked at first, but it wasn’t nearly as bad once I actually played it. These big reworks usually come with other tweaks - they’ll buff weapons or abilities to balance the harder difficulty. I’d wait for patch notes before worrying too much. Devs have kept solo play viable lately, so they’ve probably got balancing changes we don’t know about yet. Social media teasers always make stuff sound worse than it is.
Saw that Bluesky post too - people are probably overthinking it. The wording was pretty vague about what “modifications” even means. Could just be QoL improvements or bug fixes, not necessarily difficulty bumps. Miro’s always dramatic with announcements anyway. What matters is whether the changes actually make mechanical sense. If they’re reworking crowd encounters, there’s probably a good reason - fixing exploits or making AI more engaging. I’ve been playing since early access and the devs don’t usually break core gameplay without cause. Solo players have legit concerns, but the game’s always been built around multiple combat approaches.
