Hey everyone! Just saw some amazing news about the upcoming 40th anniversary Guyver merchandise releases. They finally announced two brand new collectible figures that fans have been waiting for forever.
First up is the highly anticipated Guyver Unit 3 action figure, which looks absolutely incredible from the preview images. The detail work on this one seems way better than previous releases.
The second announcement is even more exciting - they’re finally making a Gigantic Dark figure! This has been on collectors’ wish lists for years. Plus, they showed off a full color prototype of the Guyver Gigantic model, which means we might actually see a proper release soon.

The timing on these releases couldn’t be better honestly. I remember picking up the original Guyver I figure back in the day and being disappointed with the paint applications and joint stability. Fast forward to now and these anniversary pieces look like they’re using completely different manufacturing standards. What really caught my attention is how they handled the bio-mechanical details on Unit 3 - you can actually see individual texture work that wasn’t possible with earlier production methods. The Gigantic Dark announcement feels almost surreal since that design seemed too ambitious for mass production. I’m curious about the scale they’re going with though, because if they’re doing these justice they’re going to need some serious shelf space. Already cleared out a display case just in case the pre-orders go live without much warning.
dude im so hyped for the gigantic dark!! been waiting ages for this one and thought it would never happen. unit 3 looks solid too but gigantic dark is the real winner here. just hope they dont mess up the articulation like some of the older releases did. fingers crossed the price wont be too brutal tho
This is fantastic news for the franchise. I’ve been collecting Guyver figures since the early 2000s and the quality has really improved over the years. The Guyver Unit 3 announcement doesn’t surprise me much since it’s been rumored for months, but that Gigantic Dark figure is something else entirely. I honestly thought they’d never make one given how complex the design is. The fact they’re showing a color prototype for the regular Gigantic gives me hope they’ve finally figured out the engineering challenges with these larger bio-booster armor designs. My only concern is pricing - the anniversary releases tend to be expensive, but if the quality matches what we’re seeing in the previews, it might be worth the investment. Definitely keeping an eye on pre-order dates.
