OpenAI flags kids as inappropriate content - how does this affect family photo processing?

I’ve been working on a project that involves processing family photos using OpenAI’s API, but I’m running into some weird issues. It seems like their content moderation system is now flagging images with children as NSFW content, which is obviously problematic for legitimate family photography applications.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? I’m trying to build a family photo organizing tool, but the API keeps rejecting perfectly innocent pictures of kids at birthday parties, family gatherings, etc. This is making it really difficult to implement the features I had planned.

I’m wondering if there are specific workarounds or if I need to adjust my approach entirely. Maybe there are alternative APIs that handle family content more appropriately? Any suggestions would be helpful since this is blocking my entire project right now.

totally get it, man! it’s so annoying when they flag normal stuff. maybe try lookin into other apis that are more family-friendly? also, some folks have had luck with changing settings on their accounts. hope this helps a bit!
