thanks for the info! just found out i was paying for audiobooks too, lol. def annoying to see it buried in the settings. at least i can save some cash now. quick question tho - does switching mess with sound quality at all?

Switched to Basic three months ago and honestly can’t tell the difference. Music streaming and offline downloads work exactly the same. What surprised me most? I was overpaying big time without realizing it. That audiobook feature just sat there unused while I kept throwing money at the higher tier. Transition was smooth - didn’t lose playlists or saved music. One heads up: you can’t switch back right away if you change your mind, there’s a waiting period. But if you’re strictly using Spotify for music, this is the way to go.

Had no clue this Basic tier existed until my bill jumped last month. Started looking around and realized I’d been auto-enrolled in the audiobook plan without noticing. Savings aren’t massive but they add up, especially since I’ve never used Spotify audiobooks. Switched through account settings on desktop - couldn’t find the option on mobile for some reason. Took two minutes and started with my next billing cycle. FYI, customer support can’t help you downgrade - you have to do it yourself on the website.
