QuickBooks Authentication account_type

Does anyone know what you should be putting in the account_type field when setting up authentication for QuickBooks?

Hello! It seems this field isn’t required, so you can simply click “Authorize,” and an authorization window using OAuth will open. If that doesn’t work, try entering your account type based on one of the examples provided in their documentation: Intuit Developer.

There are five basic account types: asset, liability, income, expense, and equity.

I had noticed that it would let me authorize without filling that field out.

When I use the authentication token in my as the value for my Authorization header, I get a 401 error when trying to do a simple post to update the email address on a client record.

Please try again, everything should work correctly.

Thanks! That is working.
