I’m having trouble with a MailGun Sending Domain I can’t seem to get rid of. Here’s what happened:
- I had a verified domain set up
- I deleted it to document the setup process for clients
- When I tried to recreate it, I encountered a “Failed to create Domain” error
- Now the domain appears but is incomplete
- The domain settings display “There was an error loading your data, please refresh to try again”
- I am unable to delete it
I know I could create a new domain, but I would prefer to fix or remove this one. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know any possible solutions?
As someone who’s dealt with MailGun quirks, I can relate to your frustration. In my experience, clearing your browser’s cache and cookies and then logging out and back in has occasionally resolved similar UI glitches. Also, trying a different browser or using incognito mode might bypass any cached errors.
Another approach is to use MailGun’s API to force a deletion of the domain, which can be more effective than the web interface. If these methods don’t work, consider reaching out to MailGun support with detailed screenshots and your troubleshooting steps. Persistence tends to pay off with these issues.
I’ve encountered a similar issue with MailGun before. In my experience, these stuck domains can sometimes be caused by caching problems on MailGun’s end. Have you tried reaching out to their support team directly? They might be able to manually remove the domain from their system. Another workaround I’ve found effective is to wait 24-48 hours before attempting to recreate the domain. Sometimes their system needs time to fully process deletions. If all else fails, you might consider using a slightly different domain name (like adding a prefix) as a temporary solution while you work with support to resolve the original issue.
hey, i had a simlar issue with mailgun. clearing my cache didnt help either, so i ended up using their api to delete the domain. if coding ain’t your thing, try giving their support a shout. hope it helps!
