Seeking bot for Patreon-Telegram integration

Hey everyone! I’m an artist with a big Twitter following and a Patreon page. I want to make a Telegram group for my supporters. The thing is, I’m not super tech-savvy.

I’m looking for a bot that can:

  1. Let Patreon subscribers join the Telegram group
  2. Check if they’re still subscribed each month
  3. Remove folks who aren’t subscribed anymore

I found one bot that might work, but I’m worried it could be sketchy. Has anyone used something like this before? Any tips on how to set it up safely?

I’d love to hear about your experiences or any recommendations. Thanks in advance for your help!

hey jack, i’ve used patreondiscordconnect for something similar. it worked pretty well for discord, but i’m not sure about telegram. maybe you could check if they have a telegram version? if not, you might wanna look into zapier or ifttt for connecting diff apps. good luck with your group!

I’ve been using a bot called PatreonBot for my Telegram group, and it’s been quite reliable. It handles the Patreon-Telegram integration seamlessly, managing subscriptions and access control. The setup process was straightforward, even for someone like me who’s not particularly tech-savvy. It’s been running for about six months now without any major issues. Just make sure to read through their privacy policy and terms of service carefully before implementing it. Also, it’s a good idea to inform your patrons about the bot and how it’ll be used to manage the group access. Hope this helps with your decision!

I’ve actually had a similar experience with integrating Patreon and Telegram for my photography community. After some trial and error, I found a solution called Memberful that worked well for me. It’s not specifically a bot, but a membership management platform that integrates with both Patreon and Telegram.

The setup took a bit of time, but once it was running, it handled everything automatically - from granting access to new subscribers to removing those who unsubscribed. It also offers analytics, which has been helpful for tracking engagement.

One thing to keep in mind is the cost - it’s not free, but for me, the peace of mind and time saved was worth it. Also, make sure to communicate clearly with your patrons about how the system works and what data is being used. Transparency goes a long way in building trust.

If you’re not comfortable with the technical aspects, you might want to consider hiring a freelancer to help with the initial setup. It could save you a lot of headaches in the long run.
