Seeking humorous comic strip about project management tools

Hey everyone,

I’m prepping for a presentation on advanced search techniques in our project tracking software at work. I usually kick off these kinds of talks with a funny comic to break the ice. But I’m drawing a blank this time!

Does anyone know of any good comics or memes that poke fun at project management tools? I’m looking for something that highlights the quirks of using complex search queries or dealing with ticket overload.

If you don’t know of an existing comic, I’m open to ideas for creating my own. Maybe we could brainstorm some funny situations or dialogues that would work well in a 3-panel strip?

Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks for your help!

Oh man, I’ve been in the trenches with project management tools for years, and let me tell you, the struggle is real! Your idea for a comic strip is spot on. Here’s a scenario that might resonate:

Panel 1: A team huddled around a whiteboard, excitedly mapping out a new project.

Panel 2: Same team, months later, buried under a mountain of sticky notes, printouts, and tangled yarn connecting various tasks.

Panel 3: One team member emerges from the pile, hair disheveled, holding up a laptop triumphantly. Caption: ‘Found it! The ticket was mislabeled under “Misc” the whole time!’

It’s a bit exaggerated, but it captures that feeling of drowning in data and the sweet relief of finally finding what you need. Hope this sparks some ideas for you!

lol, those project management tools can be a real headache! how about a comic where panel 1 shows a dev typing furiously, panel 2 zooms in on their screen with a bazillion open tabs, and panel 3 has them facepalming with the caption ‘when you spend an hour searching for a ticket that doesn’t exist’. we’ve all been there, right?

As someone who’s spent way too many hours wrangling project management software, I can relate to your quest for the perfect comic! While I don’t have a specific strip to recommend, I’ve got an idea for one that might hit home. Picture this: Panel 1 shows a frazzled PM staring at a complex search query. Panel 2 zooms in on their computer screen, revealing an absurdly long string of filters and Boolean operators. Panel 3 pulls back to show the PM’s colleague peering over their shoulder, saying “Couldn’t you just ask Dave in accounting?” It’s a classic case of over-engineering a solution when a simple conversation would do. Feel free to run with that concept or tweak it to fit your audience. Good luck with your presentation!
