Hey everyone! I’m trying to find a good Discord bot that can play music from YouTube. You know, the kind where you just type a command like ‘play!’ followed by a YouTube link, and it starts playing that song or video right away.
I’ve been using bots like MelodyMaker and TuneWizard, but they don’t work with YouTube anymore. It’s really putting a damper on our server’s music parties. We used to have so much fun sharing YouTube tracks, but now our options are super limited.
Does anyone know of a trustworthy bot that still supports YouTube? I’d love to bring back those awesome Discord YouTube listening sessions with my friends. Any suggestions would be awesome!
hey dude, have u tried FredBoat? it’s pretty cool and still works with youtube i think. i use it on my server and we jam out all the time lol. just type !play and the youtube link and ur good to go. give it a shot and lemme know how it goes!
Have you looked into Hydra? It’s a pretty solid option that still works with YouTube links. I’ve been using it on my server for a few months now, and it’s been reliable. The command structure is straightforward - just type !play followed by the YouTube URL or search term.
One thing to keep in mind is that Discord bots with YouTube integration can be a bit unstable due to frequent policy changes. Hydra has managed to stay functional, but it’s always good to have a backup. You might want to consider alternatives like Spotify integration or using a bot that pulls from multiple sources.
If Hydra doesn’t work out, you could also try Groovy. It’s another popular choice that’s been holding up well. Just make sure to keep your bot updated to avoid any sudden disruptions to your music sessions.
Hey there! I’ve actually been through the same struggle recently, and I think I might have a solution for you. Have you checked out Jockie Music? It’s been a game-changer for our server.
Jockie Music still works great with YouTube links, and it’s super easy to use. Just type ‘!play’ followed by the YouTube URL or even just search terms, and you’re good to go. What I really like about it is how stable it’s been compared to some other bots I’ve tried.
One thing to keep in mind though - these YouTube-compatible bots can sometimes be a bit finicky due to constant changes in YouTube’s policies. So it’s always good to have a backup plan. Maybe consider having a secondary bot that uses Spotify or SoundCloud as a fallback.
Hope this helps bring back those epic music sessions with your friends! Let me know if you need any more info on setting it up.
