Seeking WordPress plugin to restrict access to paid Airtable content

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a new project where I need to limit access to an Airtable sheet on my WordPress site. I want only paying customers to see it. I’ve got Stripe set up for payments, but I’m stumped on how to control who can view the sheet.

Does anyone have experience with plugins that can do this? I’m looking for something that’s easy to use and works well with digital products like spreadsheets.

I’ve looked at a few membership plugins, but I’m not sure which one would be best for my needs. If you’ve done something similar, I’d love to hear what worked for you.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

As someone who’s been in your shoes, I can tell you that AccessAlly might be just what you’re looking for. I implemented it on my site to gate access to various digital products, including Airtable sheets.

What I love about AccessAlly is its deep integration with payment systems like Stripe. Once set up, it automatically handles access control based on purchase status. No manual intervention needed.

One standout feature is its flexibility with content dripping and course creation. This came in handy when I wanted to gradually release parts of my Airtable content over time.

The learning curve can be a bit steep initially, but their support team is responsive. They helped me iron out some integration quirks with my specific setup.

Just a heads up - it’s a bit pricier than some alternatives, but in my experience, the robust features and reliability have been worth the investment.

I’ve had success using WooCommerce with the Groups plugin for a similar setup. WooCommerce handles the e-commerce side seamlessly, while Groups lets you create memberships and restrict access to specific content. You can link products to user groups, so when someone purchases, they’re automatically added to the right group with access to your Airtable sheet.

The combo is quite flexible and scalable if you plan to expand your offerings later. It took some initial setup time, but now it runs smoothly. Just make sure to test thoroughly before going live to ensure the access restrictions work as intended across different user scenarios.
