Selenium WebDriver with ChromeDriver works great for this. I hit the same issues about six months back while building a monitoring tool that ran JavaScript through rotating proxies. Set up ChromeOptions before you initialize the driver. Use AddArgument with --proxy-server to configure your proxy address and port. Authenticated proxies are trickier - you’ll need a proxy extension or intercept network requests for credentials. Here’s what bit me: some proxy providers clash with Chrome’s default security in headless mode. Adding --disable-web-security and --ignore-certificate-errors fixed most connection problems.
