Should I keep working with my tattoo artist after learning they used AI?

I just found out that my tattoo artist may have used AI to create my design, and it’s making me feel uneasy. While I was getting some work done, I overheard her telling a coworker that she needed to ensure there were the right number of toes and ears in the design. That’s when it dawned on me that the design might have come from AI.

I already have tattoos on my arms, chest, and ribs, and each one was custom-made, with some even drawn right onto my skin by hand. That personal touch is really important to me.

The artist never mentioned using AI at any point. Now I’m analyzing my tattoo closely and noticing oddities like having three legs and two different styles of horns. I can’t help but wonder if these mistakes are a result of it being AI-generated.

I’m in a dilemma about whether to continue my sessions with her or search for a new artist. Has anyone else gone through something similar? Would another tattoo artist even want to take on fixing a tattoo started by someone else?

yeah, it’s def a tricky spot to be in. a lot of artists will help fix other tats, but trust is key! if she didn’t come clean about using AI, that’s kinda sketchy. maybe have a heart-to-heart with her before ditching her completely.
