Startup Opportunity: Substantial AWS Credit through HubSpot Partnership

Hey fellow entrepreneurs!

I stumbled upon a sweet deal for early-stage startups that I think you’ll want to know about.

If your company meets AWS Activate criteria (typically less than a decade old and under $100 million in annual revenue), there’s a cool collaboration between HubSpot’s startup program and Vestbee. They’re offering a whopping $25k in AWS credits, plus some nice discounts on HubSpot services.

My startup got approved recently. The credits showed up in our AWS account pretty quickly after that. It’s been super helpful for us as we ramp up our infrastructure and experiment with AI tools. It’s also taking the sting out of our growing EC2 and RDS expenses.

If you’re interested but not sure about eligibility, give me a shout. I had to chat with Activate support a couple times to get everything sorted, so I’ve got some tips that might save you some hassle.

Has anyone else taken advantage of this offer? What has your experience been like?

Thanks for sharing this opportunity, charlottek. I actually looked into this program a few months ago for my SaaS startup. While the AWS credits are certainly enticing, we ultimately decided against it due to some fine print concerns.

Specifically, we were wary of potential lock-in effects and how it might impact our ability to negotiate rates or switch providers down the line. Additionally, our team had reservations about the data sharing implications of participating in these partner programs.

That said, for startups with a clear need for substantial AWS resources and comfort with the terms, it could be a game-changer. Just make sure to thoroughly review all conditions and consider long-term implications before jumping in.

Has anyone else weighed the pros and cons of these types of startup credit programs? I’d be curious to hear other perspectives on navigating these offers.
